Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We never walk more than six dogs at any one time. However, if you have booked a solo walk, your pup will be walked by themselves. If you have more than one dog in your household we can walk those in their own family group if requested as a solo walk. Groups are carefully selected taking into account breed, size, age and gender of your pup. We will discuss this with you during the onboarding process and will take the greatest care to assess the group situation and what will work the best. We offer solo walking if your dog is unhappy in a group situation.
We will never pack walk - more than six is considered a pack - this is bad for the dogs, supervision is very hard, there's a greater risk of injury, lack of control, potential for fights and pests and diseases can spread.
No, it's not possible to drop your dogs off with us as we may be busy with other appointments. We will arrange a pick up and drop off time with you on the days of your bookings. Ideally your pup(s) will be in an easily accessible and secure place for us to collect and drop off without having to enter your house.
If you are training your dog, the last thing you need is another handler coming in and using different commands and techniques that might confuse your dog. We will continue any methods of training you have in place and update you on their progress as often as you like.
This is a big question for many dog owners as it may dictate how satisfied the dog will be from its walk and also how safe you feel with your dog in the walker's care. During the onboarding session, you will be asked to describe the kind of walks you go on and situations when your dog is on or off lead. A good dog walker will be very attentive to this information and let you know how they intend to proceed.
Our walkers will consult with you in detail on whether your dog is suitable to be walked on or off lead. We always walk your dog on a long line initially until we're confident their recall with our walker is reliable. If you would like us to help build on your dog's recall so that they can be walked off lead, we are happy to do that. We do walks both on and off lead and will always put your dog's needs first.
We will do our best to towel down and clean your dog upon return. However, we are on a farm, the paddocks can be wet and muddy - especially in winter - but we will do our best.
On collection and drop off to your home we will remove shoes so that we don't tread mud through the house if we need to enter.
It is vital that your dog is transported safely to and from their walk. We will show you our vehicle on the meet and greet. As we walk a maximum of six dogs in any group, we only transport six at a time - each in individual crates or harnesses or with a dog guard depending on the vehicle type and size of dog. Your dog will not be left in a vehicle for any longer than it takes to load / unload another dog.
We have strict health and safety processes on transporting dogs safely and how to handle them getting in and out of cars.
It's important that there is transparency between you and your dog walker so that you can develop a trusting relationship. Your dog walker should share accurate and timely information with you, as well as provide evidence of how the walk went.
Our walkers give regular feedback by photos so you can see exactly how much fun your dog is having. We also leave notes or send you messages if you request them.
Yes, we require for your pup(s) to have up to date vaccinations for their health and yours. During the onboarding process, we will take detailed notes and document health records so that we can remind you if it looks like the expiry date is coming up. You can read more about what vaccinations in our Terms and Conditions.
Your dog walker should be confident handling a variety of dogs and know how to recognise what mood they are in from their behaviour. You can read about our experience with dogs in our About Us section
